Sunil Jose

Mr. Sunil Jose is the founder and Principal Attorney of SUNS LEGAL. He has over 25 plus years of experience practicing law in India and abroad and 20-plus years of experience in intellectual property law.

He holds a master's degree in Intellectual Property Law and has completed several Advanced Certificate programs from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) on various subjects related to Intellectual Property. He is a Mediator certified by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and a member of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. He was a contributor to The World Bank's Doing Business Project from 2007 to 2010.

He has served as Associate Editor of a book titled Copyright Law: Emerging Trends and Challenges, published by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, in 2002.

He has also contributed a chapter entitled "Protection of Geographical Indications in India and Challenges in Its Enforcement" as co-author, in the edited book Intellectual Property Rights in Knowledge Era: Changing Contours, published by DPIIT IPR-CHAIR, Osmania University, Hyderabad, in 2022.
