Virtual Internship Programme
During my internship as a Research Intern at ISAIL, I had the unique opportunity to work at the pinnacle intersection of AI, law, and financial markets. My primary focus involved studying the intricate interplay between artificial intelligence, legal frameworks, and also dealt with stock trading mechanisms, including algorithmic trading for the purposes necessitated for my Discussion Paper. This position required a strong analytical approach and a keen eye for detail, as I analysed regulatory policies impacting AI-driven systems and provided insights into the current legal landscape around these technologies.
One of the most enriching aspects of the internship was when ISAIL gave me the necessitated exposure to varied group discussions on the evolving role of AI in law. These sessions gave me comprehensive insight on varied perspectives, helping me grasp the complexities and ethical considerations surrounding AI applications in societies’ dynamic reliance on technology. By synthesizing my research with industry insights, I contributed to policy analysis that dealt with future regulatory developments.
This experience has equipped me with a nuanced understanding of AI’s impact on law and trading, enhancing my skills in critical analysis, policy research, and multidisciplinary collaboration. I am grateful for this opportunity to work at the crossroads of technology, law, and finance, which has been invaluable for my interest in this dynamic field. The continued guidance received for my Discussion Paper furthered my ability to research and objectively analyse the intricacies of Algo-Trading and HFT firms.
The Call for Research Interns is Closed.
Under a research collaboration with VLiGTA, the research & innovation division of Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP, ISAIL had opened the call (in 2023) to invite law students (undergraduate and postgraduate) in their respective fields of law and public policy to apply to be recruited as a Research Intern.
