full text of Principles
AI-Driven Sectoral Advancement: Encourage sector-specific AI applications that cater to the unique needs of each industry. AI solutions should be tailored to enhance the operational efficiencies and innovation potentials of different sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and service industries.
Collaborative Innovation Ecosystem: Promote an ecosystem where academic institutions, startups, and established businesses collaborate closely, sharing knowledge and resources to push the boundaries of AI research and application, reflecting a community of practice that thrives on collective growth
Human-AI Synergy in the Workforce: Focus on AI as a tool that enhances human capabilities rather than 'replaces' them. This involves creating AI that works alongside humans, particularly in sectors experiencing high human interaction, like education or customer service, where AI can assist but not dominate.
Local Innovation Hubs: Establish local centers for AI development that act as incubators for new ideas, startups, and research, focusing on regionally relevant issues and fostering entrepreneurship in AI technology.
AI for Sustainable Development: Direct AI innovation towards solving environmental challenges, such as improving energy efficiency, managing waste, or enhancing agricultural practices, ensuring that technological growth contributes to ecological sustainability.
Public Engagement and Education: Increase public understanding of AI through community programs, public discourse, and accessible education, ensuring that AI's development is transparent and inclusive, with public input shaping its direction.
Why the Principle's Name Matters
Lucknow, the city of Awadh, nawabs, Ramayana and cultural refinement, represents India's sophisticated approach to AI development across diverse economic sectors. The principles named after this cultural capital emphasise collaborative innovation ecosystems and AI-driven sectoral advancement. Lucknow's academic and entrepreneurial spirit, combined with its historical role as a centre of learning and cultural synthesis, makes it the perfect metaphor for fostering symbiotic relationships among stakeholders while ensuring AI innovation enhances efficiency and competitiveness across industries from agriculture to services.
