The Moot
Tackling the Issue
This year's theme for the moot court is AI and Arbitration Law.
The Problem
Making a Difference
This is an unconventional moot problem developed for ensuring a stiff and competitive environment in the competition, in line with Investment Arbitration Law.
Urgent Notification - for Registered Teams
On Memorial Submissions
We have an important message to share. So, if teams fail to submit memorials (on the Google Forms already shared) by July 15, 2021, then, we will not block them from submitting their memorials. Memorials shall be accepted until August 3, 2021. However, any late submission of memorials shall subject to penalty marking for the Moot's Memorial Rounds with a negative marking of [-3] per day for delaying memorial submissions. However, the Memorial Rounds do not decide the Student Team's eligibility to participate in the Oral Rounds Matches. In case any team member(s) suffer from COVID-19, they are mandatorily required to submit their reports of COVID19 positivity at moot@isail.co.in. We will extend the start date from which penalties shall be counted per day, considering that the COVID19 pandemic has affected law students in a sporadic manner.
It simply means that penalties shall affect only the scores for the Memorial Rounds, independent of the Oral Rounds, whose separate winners shall be decided in the event.
We have adopted this measure to avoid any panicking situation for the participants to ensure the smooth functioning of the Moot Court. Thus, kindly avoid asking for extensions for submitting the memorials to us. To repeat, in normal cases, after July 15, 2021, each day a negative -3 score shall be added in the memorial scores for the Memorial Rounds only. Teams who fail to submit the memorials by August 3, 2021, shall not be eligible to participate in the Oral Rounds, nor the Memorial Rounds.
For any queries, please contact us promptly.
