ISAIL Patron Members


  1. Individuals who are Ordinary Members of ISAIL are eligible to apply to become the Patron Members of ISAIL.

  2. By accepting the honour of Patron Membership in the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence, Law, Policy and Industry Issues (ISAIL), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

    1. Membership Status and Duration

      • Patron Membership is granted in recognition of exceptional intellectual contributions and groundbreaking achievements in the field of law, policy and industry issues around AI, demonstrating a commitment from those in technology and legal sectors.

      • The membership term is subject to periodic review by the ISAIL governing body.

    2. Professional Development and Recognition

      • Patron Members are eligible to participate in ISAIL-affiliated tech law, policy and industry Expert Groups. This privilege is granted to foster the development of cutting-edge initiatives and to leverage the expertise of our distinguished members.

      • ISAIL reserves the right to feature Patron Members' profiles, interviews, and spotlights on a curated, case-by-case basis. This selective approach ensures the highest quality of content and maintains the prestige of such features.

      • Patron Members may propose and host key events, group meetings, and roundtables as part of ISAIL's AI Standardisation initiatives. All proposals are subject to approval by the ISAIL board to maintain alignment with organizational goals.

      • Research contributions may be featured on the ISAIL website as part of the AIStandard.io initiative. ISAIL retains editorial discretion over the selection and presentation of featured research.

    3. Mentorship and Advisory Support

      • Access to ISAIL's network of advisors and mentors is provided to enhance professional development. The extent and nature of this support may vary based on availability and relevance.

      • Patron Members may request to hold career development sessions. ISAIL will accommodate these requests based on resource availability and alignment with organizational priorities.

      • Peer-to-peer mentorship is offered to Patron Members. The quality and extent of this mentorship may vary and is subject to the availability and willingness of suitable mentors within the ISAIL network.

    4. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

      • Any intellectual property developed as part of ISAIL activities remains the property of ISAIL unless otherwise agreed in writing.

      • Patron Members agree to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information obtained through ISAIL activities.

    5. Code of Conduct

      • Patron Members are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct in all ISAIL-related activities, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of our organization led by professionals from technology and legal backgrounds.

      • ISAIL reserves the right to revoke Patron Membership for any conduct deemed detrimental to the organization's reputation or mission.

    6. AI Standardisation Initiatives Contribution

      • Patron Members are required to contribute to outcome documentation under the AI Standardisation initiatives, as outlined in Schedule 2 of the Charter.

      • This contribution is on a voluntary basis, reflecting the commitment of Patron Members to advancing the field of law, policy and industry issues around AI.

      • The nature and extent of contributions may vary based on the member's expertise and the current needs of the initiatives.

      • In addition to creating outcome documents, Patron Members are required to provide their inputs on existing outcome documents or any Expert Notes.

      • Expert Notes are defined as specialised, in-depth analyses or commentaries on specific topics related to law, policy and industry issues around AI, prepared by recognised experts in the field. These notes serve as authoritative references and contribute to the body of knowledge within ISAIL.
