The Joint Annual Report of ISAIL & Indic Pacific for the Years 2022-24 is Released

Indic Pacific Legal Research, and the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law (ISAIL),are proud to announce their joint achievements in promoting responsible AI development and legal innovation in India.




Founded by Abhivardhan, Indic Pacific and ISAIL have been instrumental in shaping the discourse on AI governance in India. Abhivardhan's early research on AI ethics and international law has been recognized by the Council of Europe, setting the stage for groundbreaking initiatives. Key milestones include:


  1. India's first privately proposed draft Artificial Intelligence Regulation Bill, authored by Abhivardhan, aimed at establishing a comprehensive legal framework for AI governance.

  2. The VLiGTA ecosystem, offering cutting-edge training programs on technology law, AI governance, and intellectual property for professionals and organizations.

  3. ISAIL's significant contributions to AI standardization and research, with the 2020 Handbook on AI and International Law featured by the Council of Europe as a notable Indian AI initiative.

  4. The launch of AIStandard.io, a platform dedicated to the development and dissemination of AI standardization guidelines.

  5. Ongoing research and policy initiatives, including the recent report on "Reimaging and Restructuring MeitY for India" (IPLR-IG-007).

Our mission as a non-profit industry body for the analytics & AI industry in India is to promote responsible development of artificial intelligence and its standardisation in India.
