Adv. Sunil Jose joins at ISAIL Advisory Council

The Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law (ISAIL) is delighted to welcome Mr. Sunil Jose, Founder and Principal Attorney of SUNS LEGAL, as a distinguished member of our Advisory Council.




Mr. Jose's extensive experience in intellectual property law, coupled with his deep understanding of the legal landscape in India and abroad, will be invaluable to ISAIL's mission of promoting AI standardization and ethical development. His contributions to the field, including his role as Associate Editor of "Copyright Law: Emerging Trends and Challenges" and his co-authorship of "Protection of Geographical Indications in India and Challenges In Its Enforcement," demonstrate his expertise in navigating the complex interplay between intellectual property and emerging technologies.

As ISAIL continues to work towards developing comprehensive AI standards and guidelines, Mr. Jose's insights and guidance will be instrumental in ensuring that these standards are aligned with the evolving legal and ethical landscape. His experience in mediation and his involvement in the World Bank's "Doing Business" Project further highlight his commitment to fostering collaboration and promoting best practices in the legal and business spheres.

Our mission as a not-for-profit industry forum for the analytics & AI industry in India is to promote responsible development of artificial intelligence and its standardisation in India.

Since 2022, the research operations of the Society have been subsumed under VLiGTA® by Indic Pacific Legal Research.

ISAIL has supported two independent journals, namely - the Indic Journal of International Law and the Indian Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Law. It also supports an independent media and community initiative - The Bharat Pacific.

ISAIL’s India-centric AI policy documentations, community-centric initiatives, and contributions to AI standardisation in India have been acknowledged by the Council of Europe, quite recently.
