Prof. Jagannath Panda Joins the ISAIL Advisory Council and ISAIL Strategic Affairs Committee

The ISAIL Secretariat is delighted to welcome Prof. Jagannath Panda as a Distinguished Expert at the ISAIL Advisory Council, and a Co-Chairperson of the ISAIL Strategic Affairs Committee chaired by Dr Vignesh Ram, PhD and also co-chaired by Dr. Alvite Ningthoujam (Ph.D).


Prof. Jagannath Panda is the Head of the Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs (SCSA-IPA). He is also the Executive Editor for ISDP. 

Prof. Panda has joined as a Distinguished Expert, at the ISAIL Advisory Council, and a Co-Chairperson of the ISAIL Strategic Affairs Committee.


In addition to his primary appointment at ISDP, Dr. Panda is a Professor at the Department of Regional and Global Studies at the University of Warsaw. He is also the Director for Europe-Asia Research Cooperation at the Yokosuka Council on Asia-Pacific Studies (YCAPS); and a Senior Fellow at The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS) in the Netherlands.

ISAIL’s India-centric AI policy documentations, community-centric initiatives, and contributions to AI standardisation in India have been acknowledged by the Council of Europe, quite recently.
