ISAIL.IN and Orangewood Labs host an AI Industry-Policy Mixer in Noida [Feb 2026]

Did you know that the Government of UP in their IT Policy has a 10-lakh Indian Rupee Grant provision for patents? Many don't know this still.

The Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law and Orangewood hosted a fantastic meetup at the Orangewood Labs' Noida office quite recently as on February 21, 2026.

This was a quite special meetup.

We had hosted a good peer-group of awesome people from law, policy and tech backgrounds including Ameet Datta, Nikhil Mehra, Deepanshu Singh from ISAIL Advisory Council, Prathik Karthikeyan from LITT, Ranjan Singhania from DreamLegal®, Rajdeep Srivastava and others.

We also hosted Central Delhi meetups on Feb 18-19, 2026 with Saanjh Shekhar, Prathik, Deepanshu, Swastik Grover and others.

It was a quite happy gathering, must admit. 

So many honest conversations happened on why India stays behind in the AI industry aspect of things, why industry associations remain laggard in promoting monotonous AI business narratives, and what can be done in the case of state governments around AI policy.
