ISAIL Central India Regional Executive Board Announcement

The Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law (ISAIL) has taken a significant step forward in expanding its organizational structure and reach across Central India. Under the leadership of Secretary-General Akash Manwani, ISAIL has officially established its third National/Regional Executive Board, known as the ISAIL Central India Executive Board.

This new executive board was formed at the behest of key figures in the legal and policy landscape of India. The request for its establishment came from Mr. Sumanth Garakarajula, an advocate, Ms. Ayushi Agarwal, and Mr. Prabhat Singh, who holds the position of Co-Chairperson of the Policy Innovation Committee at ISAIL.

The ISAIL Central India Executive Board has been given a broad mandate to oversee and coordinate activities in several key states across central and eastern India. The regions under its purview include:

  1. Uttar Pradesh

  2. Telangana

  3. Madhya Pradesh

  4. Bihar

  5. Jharkhand

  6. Chhattisgarh

This strategic expansion of ISAIL's organisational structure reflects the growing importance of artificial intelligence in the legal field across India. By establishing a dedicated executive board for Central India, ISAIL aims to better address the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the intersection of AI and law in these regions.

The formation of this new board is likely to facilitate more localized initiatives, foster regional collaborations, and promote the development of AI-driven legal technologies tailored to the specific needs of Central India. It also demonstrates ISAIL's commitment to creating a nationwide network of experts and practitioners in the field of AI and law.

As the field of artificial intelligence continues to evolve and impact various sectors, including the legal domain, the establishment of such regional boards becomes crucial. These boards can help in formulating region-specific policies, conducting research, and organizing events that address the unique legal and ethical challenges posed by AI in different parts of India.

The ISAIL Central India Executive Board is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the discourse around AI and law in the region, potentially influencing policy-making, legal education, and the adoption of AI technologies in the legal sector across these states.
